Lectures in October
I’ll be presenting a few lectures in the UK in October of 2006. Do let me know if you can attend and I will forward more details as they become available! The schedule follows:
Thursday 19 October. Guest Lecture. “Confrontational Flesh: The Body, Gender, Visual Spectacle and Perception.” International Gender Studies Centre (IGS), University of Oxford. Part of the IGS seminar series entitled, “Gender and Representation”. The lecture will be held at 2pm at Queen Elizabeth House in the former Geography Institute on Mansfield Road (OX1 3TB).
Late October. Precise date TBA. Artist Guest Lecture. Wincester School of Art. Winchester, UK.
Friday and Saturday, 27-28 October. Artist Guest Lectures and Screening of recent multimedia work. Birkbeck College, University of London, 43 Gordon Square, Central London. Part of the AVPHD seminar series of Birkbeck and Goldsmiths Colleges and the Royal College of Art. I will be participating in a discussion on interdisciplinarity in art-related research at 10:15 on Friday morning. Then, on Saturday afternoon, I will be screening and discussing recent installation work at the 2:00 seminar entitled, “Practice as Research, Models and Examples.”
